Sundays for some people are all about having a lay in, Sunday’s are also a ‘day off’ for me but I try to be up as early as possible, to venture out for a walk, usually in the New Forest. I have, unfortunately, been slightly out of love with my walking recently, mainly due to the weather being so miserable, plus having to constantly battle with the mud is a nuisance at times. This morning, however, I forced myself out of bed at silly o’clock and managed to get a half decent 9.73 miles in. It was incredibly muddy underfoot but always worth it to see seven Sika deer cross in front of me, alas, I didn’t get any photos – they simply move too fast to focus in on them. Earl Grey tea, doorstop wholemeal toast & thick cut marmalade at my favourite eatery in Lyndhurst, the Forage Deli, before heading back to Deer Leap and warm of my car.
